According to the Jundiaí city government, the airport now called Comandante Rolim Adolfo Amaro was founded on 2 June 1941. It has served general aviation ever since.
2000s
2006
São Paulo state law 12,235 of 18 January 2006 named the Jundiaí airport after Comandante Rolim Adolfo Amaro, the founder of TAM Airlines.
2010s
2017
On 15 March 2017 the São Paulo state government granted Voa São Paulo the concession to operate the airport, which had been run by the state agency DAESP.
