It includes runway information, frequencies, contacts, fees, fuel, customs, immigration, restrictions, slots, NOTAMs, aviation permits, and service provider listings.
How many airports does DSC cover? +
DSC covers over 30,000 airports worldwide across more than 200 countries and territories, ranging from major international hubs to small regional airfields.
Is the airport data free to access? +
Yes. Free accounts can browse the full airport database in 10-minute sessions. You can also earn unlimited access by contributing edits and reaching 50 points — no credit card required.
How is the data kept up to date? +
DSC uses a community editing model. Registered users can propose corrections and additions to any airport field. All edits are reviewed before being published. NOTAMs are fetched in real time from official sources.
Can I suggest corrections to airport data? +
Absolutely. Create a free account, navigate to any airport page, and click the pencil icon on any field to propose an edit. Approved edits earn gamification points.
What are NOTAMs? +
NOTAMs (Notices to Air Missions) are official alerts issued by aviation authorities about temporary changes or hazards at airports or in airspace — such as runway closures, airspace restrictions, or navigational warnings. DSC displays live NOTAMs on the interactive map.
What is the permit database? +
DSC provides overflight and landing permit requirements for 200+ countries, including lead times, issuing authorities, fees, exemptions, and application processes — organized by operation type (private, non-scheduled, scheduled).
What subscription plans are available? +
DSC offers four plans: Free (10-minute sessions, earn unlimited access via points), Aviation Enthusiast ($5/mo for unlimited access), Provider Standard ($10/mo to list your business at an airport), and Provider Gold (from $50/mo for premium ranked placement via competitive bidding).
How does the points system work? +
Every approved edit earns gamification points. Once you reach 50 points, you unlock unlimited platform access for free. Points are also displayed on the leaderboard so contributors can track their ranking.
Can I cancel my subscription anytime? +
Yes. All paid plans are month-to-month with no contracts. You can cancel from your profile settings at any time and your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
