Our Story
Mauro graduated in Aeronautical Science and worked as a flight planner in executive aviation, logging flight hours and living the operational routine up close. He was always a tech person too, and that combination planted the seed for DSC.
The idea had been brewing since 2016. He saw firsthand how airport data was scattered, outdated, and hard to consolidate. He knew it could be done better. So he went back to school, earned a degree in Information Systems, and specialized as a data engineer. That gave him the technical foundation to actually build it.
In 2023, DSC started taking shape. Today it covers over 30,000 airports, with live NOTAMs from three sources and permit data for 150+ countries, and it takes corrections from the people who use it.
It'll never be "done". Every day there's something to improve, add, or fix. DSC is a living project, built by someone who loves aviation and technology equally.
What We Offer
Airport Database
Operational data for 30,000+ airports: runways, frequencies, contacts, fees, fuel, customs, immigration, restrictions, slots, and more.
Community Editing
Registered users can propose corrections and additions to any airport field. Their first approved edit at each airport earns a point, every point adds 3 free airport pages a day, and 50 points remove the daily limit.
Permit Information
Overflight and landing permit requirements for 150+ countries, including lead times, authorities, fees, exemptions, and application processes.
Aviation Services
Ground handling, catering, fuel, aircraft maintenance, and transport/rental car providers can list their services at any airport, with ranked visibility.
Live NOTAMs
NOTAMs from the FAA NOTAM feed (US, plus international NOTAMs it relays), DECEA AISWEB (Brazil) and NAV CANADA (Canada), on the map with severity indicators. Other countries can have partial or no coverage, and each airport page says what was checked.

DSC is free for pilots and aviation enthusiasts. Service providers can pay to be listed at their airports.

Browse the map for free. Open 3 airport pages a day without an account, or 15 a day with a free account, plus 3 more a day for every point you earn. At 50 points the daily limit goes away. No credit card required.

List your company in the airport services directory. Appear in airport search results for ground handling, catering, fuel, maintenance, or transport.

How It Works
Explore
Search airports by ICAO/IATA code, name, or city. Filter by type: international, domestic, military, or private. View detailed airport data on an interactive map.
Contribute
Found missing or outdated data? Click the pencil icon on any field to propose a correction. Your edits help the entire aviation community.
Earn

Connect
Service providers can list their companies at specific airports. Pilots and operators find ground handling, fuel, catering, and more right on the map.

3D Aircraft Model
The aircraft shown in the live-traffic chase view is “boeing 747” by zairiq-123, licensed CC BY 4.0, as simplified and re-oriented by the God’s Eye View project (geometry and material simplification, origin centred), then re-encoded by DSC for Google’s 3D map (Z-up frame, nose north, single untextured material). DSC uses it as a generic airliner shape for every fixed-wing aircraft, scaled to each type’s real length; it is not a rendering of the specific airframe. No endorsement by the original creator is implied.
Data Sources
Airport baseline data is sourced from OurAirports, a community-maintained open dataset published under the Public Domain dedication. DSC enriches this data with operational details, service provider listings, permit information, and community-contributed edits. We are grateful to the OurAirports project and its contributors.
Live air traffic
Live aircraft positions and the flight history built from them come from community networks of ADS-B receivers: adsb.fi and adsb.lol. Information from adsb.lol is made available under the Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0. Published flight routes come from the adsb.lol VRS standing data. Thank you to every feeder who shares their receiver.
