Requirements by Operation Type

Private flights need DGAC notification and customs pre-clearance.

Charter/non-scheduled require DGAC permit, minimum 5 business days.

Covered by bilateral agreements with DGAC Peru.

Overflight Permit

Remarks:

Required for all foreign aircraft. No distinction between private non-revenue and charter in the permit process. No CAA processing fees charged. Permit valid +/- 72 hours from initial requested schedule. Peru is an ICAO contracting state with Chicago Convention requirements.

Application Process:

1. Submit overflight request to DGAC Peru at least 48 working hours before departure 2. Provide: aircraft registration certificate, airworthiness certificate, insurance certificate, noise certificate, crew licenses (both sides), crew medical certificates 3. Private aircraft: AOC not required 4. No CAA processing fees charged 5. Permit valid +/- 72 hours from initial requested schedule

Landing Permit

  • Validity: +/- 72 hours from requested schedule
  • Fees: Landing/parking fees (no CAA processing fees)
Remarks:

Required for all foreign aircraft operations. No distinction between private non-revenue and charter. Full documentation required including ACAS II/TCAS II or EGPWS installation certificate for operations to airports other than Lima SPJC. Private aircraft do not need AOC.

For operations to airports other than Lima SPJC: provide ACAS II/TCAS II or EGPWS installation certificate 4. Private aircraft: AOC not required 5. No CAA processing fees 6. Permit valid +/- 72 hours from requested schedule 7. Pay landing and parking fees at each airport

Cabotage

No (foreign aircraft may not transport passengers/cargo between Peruvian points)

General Remarks

No CAA processing fees. Permits valid +/- 72 hours. ACAS II/TCAS II or EGPWS required for airports other than Lima Jorge Chavez (SPJC). High elevation at several airports (Cusco SPZO at 10,860 ft). Lima SPJC is the main international hub.
