Requirements by Operation Type

Private flights require permits. AOC not required for private aircraft.

All non-scheduled flights require prior permit. Apply minimum 48 working hours in advance.

Scheduled services governed by bilateral agreements.

Overflight Permit

  • Validity: 72 hours from initial requested schedule
  • Fees: No CAA processing fees; route navigation charges apply
Remarks:

Permit confirms no political/security objections and no outstanding navigation fees. Permit number required in Item 18 of flight plan.

Application Process:

Submit to AAC/RDC via survol@aacrdc.org with flight schedule, entry/exit points, passenger details, and aircraft documents.

Landing Permit

  • Validity: 72 hours from initial requested schedule
  • Fees: Landing and parking fees apply; navigation facility charges
Remarks:

Applicable to all operations: private, charter, scheduled, non-scheduled, passenger, cargo, technical, and traffic landings.

Application Process:

Submit application to AAC/RDC with complete flight details, crew/passenger manifest, and full aircraft documentation.

Cabotage

Prohibited for foreign operators

General Remarks

CAA operates 0700Z-1700Z Mon-Fri. Outstanding navigation fees must be cleared before permits are issued. Security clearance component included in permit process.
