Requirements by Operation Type

Private flights require overflight and landing permits. Technical landings also require permits.

All non-scheduled operations require prior permits. Minimum 2 working days lead time.

Scheduled operations governed by bilateral agreements.

Overflight Permit

  • Fees: USD 50 CAA processing fee reported; route navigation charges apply
Remarks:

Permit number must be included in Item 18 of flight plan.

Submit application to Air Transport Department at least 2 working days prior with flight schedule, routing, and aircraft documents.

Landing Permit

  • Required: Yes
  • Authority: BCAA - Air Transport Department

  • Validity: 72 hours from initial requested schedule
  • Fees: Landing and parking fees apply; CAA processing fee may apply
Remarks:

All foreign-registered aircraft require landing clearance.
