Overflight Permit

  • Validity: 72 hours from initial requested schedule
  • Fees: No CAA processing fees. Navigation fees billed via IATA.
Remarks:

Overflight permit mandatory. Must include routings and FIR information in permit request. Include AFTN in flight plan. Urgent processing (8-12 hours) available for commercial flights.

Application Process:

Apply to Air Transport Department at least 48 working hours prior. Provide routings, FIR info, aircraft details. Approved permit number must be in Item 18 of flight plan.

Prior permission required for all flight types. AOC, C of R, C of A, insurance, pilot licenses required.
