Zonal Dryer
Zonal Dryer is a system installed on aircraft that continuously removes moisture from the cabin insulation blankets and cargo bay lining. Over time, moisture from passenger breathing, galley operations, and ambient humidity accumulates in the insulation, adding significant weight and promoting corrosion of the fuselage structure.
A zonal dryer system can reduce accumulated moisture by several hundred kilograms on a widebody aircraft, resulting in measurable fuel savings. It also extends the service life of insulation blankets and reduces corrosion inspection and repair costs.
