PPR

PPR (Prior Permission Required) indicates that aircraft must obtain advance approval from the airport authority or operator before landing. PPR is common at military airfields open to civilian traffic, private strips, noise-sensitive airports, and slot-controlled airports.

Pilots must contact the airport in advance (typically by phone, email, or handling agent) to request and receive landing permission. PPR requirements are published in the AIP (Aeronautical Information Publication) and NOTAMs.
