AIP

AIP (Aeronautical Information Publication) is a publication issued by or with the authority of a state, containing aeronautical information of a lasting character essential to air navigation. The AIP is the primary reference document for each country aviation information.

The AIP is divided into three parts:

  • GEN: General information (regulations, authorities, charges, units)
  • ENR: En-route information (airspace, routes, navigation aids)
  • AD: Aerodrome information (charts, procedures, facilities for each airport)

AIP amendments follow the AIRAC cycle (28 days) for operationally significant changes.
