1925

The first airport in Salvador opened in 1925 in the Ipitanga district, making it one of the oldest civil aviation facilities in Brazil.

2000s
2002

The airport was renamed Deputado Luís Eduardo Magalhães International Airport and received a new terminal to handle the growing tourism demand for Bahia.

2010s
2017

VINCI Airports took over the concession and invested R$1.5 billion in a comprehensive modernisation, including a new apron, expanded terminal, and improved passenger facilities.
